Are you coming on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, to my show at Hermann’s Jazz Club? Downbeat is 7 p.m.at 753 View Street. Doors open at 5:30 for those that desire a great seat and to enjoy dinner. All food and drink sales help the Arts On View Society keep the club running as a crucial live music entity in Victoria, B.C. It is the longest-running jazz club in Canada, and now operating under the non-profit umbrella.

A song has been written for every stage of falling in love: falling for you, losing my head, bubbling with joy, tingling with excitement, feeling blessed. It’s pretty wild. I will explore jazz standards with these sentiments; offer my original pieces; and present some contemporary pieces too. I love making the connection between you, the audience, with the work of the band. Joining me will be the bubbly Ashley Wey on piano, gentlemanly Joey Smith on bass, and witty, whimsical Damian Graham on drums.

If you’re unable to attend that night, please check into the live stream, and also share the livestream link with friends. Please donate to Arts on View and/or to the band. Let’s keep enjoying the good energy of live music in Hermann’s Jazz Club. More information at http://www.hermannsjazz.com

Thank you so much for your ongoing presence in the club or joining in online, showing your support for my work. I strive to offer my best.

Enjoy Lorraine Nygaard’s take on love: jazz standards, contemporaries and her own tunes. June 22, 2022, at Hermanns Jazz Club.
